Terms of use
Plain terms covering what this site is, what a quotation commits anyone to, and how the technical writing here should be treated.

What this site is
edcpart.com is operated as an independent manufacturing sourcing desk based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We introduce buyers of custom CNC EDC parts to vetted Vietnamese machine shops. We do not own machines and we do not manufacture.
Enquiries and quotations
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. A quotation we send is an invitation to proceed, not a binding offer, and it is valid only for the material prices, quantities, specification and period stated on it.
Quotations assume the drawing and information you supplied are accurate and complete. A change to material, quantity, tolerance, finish or schedule changes the price, and we will say so rather than absorb it silently.
We aim to respond to every enquiry within 24 business hours. That is a service target we hold ourselves to, not a contractual guarantee.
Who contracts with whom
Where an order proceeds, the supply of goods is between you and the manufacturing shop, on the terms agreed between you. We are not the seller of the parts and do not manufacture them.
We remain involved in a first order specifically so there is someone accountable for coordination when something needs resolving. That involvement does not make us the manufacturer or the guarantor of the shop's obligations.
Your drawings and intellectual property
You keep all rights in the designs, drawings and files you send. Nothing here transfers any of it to us or to a shop.
You confirm that you are entitled to send us what you send - that it is your design, or that you have the right to have it manufactured. We do not verify this and we rely on your confirmation.
We will not manufacture your design for a third party, publish photographs of your parts, or disclose your design outside the shortlist you approve. Request an NDA and it is signed before your file is opened. See the privacy policy for how files are handled and deleted.
Export control and restricted end uses
Some parts are subject to export control or national restrictions in your jurisdiction or ours. You are responsible for determining whether your part and its end use are restricted, and for any licence that requires. Tell us if a part has a controlled or defence-related end use so it can be routed correctly or declined.
The guides on this site
The technical writing here - material comparisons, tolerances, finishing, costing rules of thumb - is general guidance drawn from quoting real jobs. It is a starting point for a conversation with a manufacturer, not an engineering specification for your part.
Figures given as ranges are ranges. Do not design a safety-critical or load-bearing component from a table on a website, ours included. Verify anything that matters against the relevant standard and your own testing.
Availability
We make no promise that this site is available uninterrupted or free of error. We may change or remove content at any time. Where a correction is made to something factual, the page is marked as updated rather than quietly edited.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your reliance on general guidance published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Outbound links point to reference sources for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
